WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your server. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically.
General indicators that your the WiFi adapter has very little life left
- The WiFi adapter on your server cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless signal has trouble connecting every day

It is in your best interest to write down the OEM part number so you order the correct WiFi replacement.
