Most USB wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the current operating system on your Acer laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to talk to your home network. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
