Acer Aspire 5241 Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to talk to your home router. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Acer laptop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
What are some hints that my wireless card is crapping out?
- The wireless adapter on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The WiFi adapter driver cannot be installed
- The wireless signal drops for no reason throughout the day
