You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. Searching for a new adapter is simple because all you need to know is the current operating system on your laptop.
