Acer Aspire RC810 Video Card
Most new desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. At the moment, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, in general. Dedicated video cards are necessary for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. Both an integrated and dedicated video card computes and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results.
Clues your display card will soon need to be replaced
- The graphics on your screen shows stretched or elongated pictures
- Your Acer reboots when starting a graphic intensive program
- The display does not turn on as you boot the PC
- A driver for the video card cannot install correctly
