Acer Aspire X1700 Ram
Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the information held gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data that the central processing unit uses for applications. Your desktop will do nothing at all without having the RAM installed. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is governed by the OS. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
How do you know if your RAM stick is about to go out?
- The system fails to come up with the correct RAM amount
- You tend to have errors on your desktop throughout the day
- The main screen does not turn on when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air as you try to boot up your desktop
