Acer M11E Wifi
The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your home router. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Acer desktop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
Hints of a poorly performing onboard WiFi
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop does not connect at all
- The WiFi adapter driver gives errors when installing
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself during the day
