WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your router and modem. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the operating system that is installed on your Acer TravelMate 2100. You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
