It is much simpler to buy a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Alienware Aurora. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home network. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
