It would be wise to take the old screen out first when looking for a replacement. The M14X screen is hard to replace due to the fact that it is supposed to be part of the unit as a whole. Buying a new Alienware M14X screen is easy, but it can take hours to actually replace the unit. Be sure you know the actual size and part number of the bad display in order to facilitate finding a replacement.
