Alienware X51 R2 Ram
RAM is necessary for a computer to boot up. RAM is considered volatile memory as its storage is deleted when you shut down your system. RAM stores pieces of data that the computer uses for programs. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the OS. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like programs or emails. But, it will affect the overall speed and quickness of your Alienware. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Simple signals the RAM needs replacing
- The screen does not light up when you turn your system on
- The system produces random reboots on your desktop throughout the day
- The main operating system does not display the right amount of RAM
- Silence when attempting to initiate your desktop
