Apple Macintosh LC 580 Ram
RAM is necessary even for a computer to boot up. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of your desktop. Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data that the CPU is currently using for applications. The clock speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the OS. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is blanked out every time you turn your desktop off. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
What symptoms are present when the RAM board is almost going bad?
- The main operating system cannot report the right amount of RAM
- You get a lot of random errors on your desktop intermittently
- Silence when you power on your desktop
- The desktop screen does not light up when starting up
