Apple PowerBook 520 Wifi
It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Apple laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
What are some hints that my wireless internet adapter is about to stop working?
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless signal has trouble connecting throughout the day
- Your WiFi on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
