Apple Power Macintosh 7100 Wifi
Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your home network. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
What are the indications that my onboard WiFi is not working right?
- The wireless signal disconnects and reconnects over and over again
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The WiFi adapter in your Apple desktop does not connect at all
