Apple iMac G3 Wifi
The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to connect to your home router. Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless because all you need to know is the current operating system on your Apple desktop. Most USB wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
General indicators that your internal WiFi is going out
- Your wireless internet connection goes in and out every day
- The desktop wireless driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The wireless adapter on your desktop is unable to find a signal from your router
