Asus CM1435 Video Card
Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than dedicated graphic cards, generally speaking. There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Almost all newer desktops should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a graphics card to be installed. A graphics card computes and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you. A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield.
Major signs of an ailing display card
- The graphics on your screen depicts fragmented images
- The Asus CM1435 freezes when starting a game
- Nothing seems to turn on when booting up
- The video card driver does not seem to install correctly
