Asus CM6850 Video Card

There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard. Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a separate video card, in general. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results.
