Asus TS300-E3 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Most newer computers will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be added to the system. Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes graphics and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are not as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general.
What to see if the display adapter is almost going bad?
- The graphics on your screen depicts bits and pieces of the desktop
- Your Asus freezes when starting a game
- The screen does not always come on as you boot the PC
- The video card driver fails to install like it should
