Compaq DC7800 Video Card

There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. All video cards computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. Dedicated video cards are typically a required piece of hardware for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Most newer computers should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a video card to be added to the system. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking. Currently, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second.
