Compaq Presario 7360 Wifi
Most USB wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your home router. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Compaq desktop.
Subtle cues of an inadequate onboard WiFi
- The WiFi goes out randomly during the day
- Your WiFi in your Compaq desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The wireless adapter driver shows it as not installed
