Dell Dimension 5150C Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your desktop to even boot. RAM is considered volatile memory as all the information held gets blanked out every time you turn your desktop off. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of data that the processor uses for programs. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of your desktop. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the software. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
How do you know if your RAM memory will soon go out?
- The main screen does not light up when booting up
- Emptiness fills the air when you power on your system
- The software fails to come up with the correct amount of RAM as it should
- You may get quite a few errors on your desktop intermittently
