Dell Inspiron 14 5445 Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your laptop.
Indications of a weak onboard WiFi
- Your wireless internet connection has trouble connecting throughout the day
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi adapter in your Dell laptop will not connect to your router anymore
