Dell Inspiron 530C Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Dell desktop. The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router and modem. It will be easier to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest.
What are some indications that my onboard WiFi is crapping out?
- The WiFi adapter driver gives errors when installing
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself all the time
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop is unable to find a signal from your router
