Dell Inspiron 9100 Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your router and modem. Searching for a new adapter is simple because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Dell laptop. You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
Warnings of an ailing onboard WiFi
