Dell Latitude CPX J Ram
Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the information held gets erased every time your turn the computer off. Your laptop RAM stores random bits of information that the computer uses for executing commands. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is determined by the system software. Having the RAM installed is mandatory even for a computer to run at all. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of your laptop. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Major clues your RAM memory is going to die
- The main screen does not light up when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air when trying to power on your laptop
- You may get quite a few access errors on your laptop throughout the day
- The system cannot report the correct memory amount
