Dell Latitude E6400 XFR Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of information that the computer uses for programs. Having the RAM installed is mandatory for a computer to run. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it will affect the speed of the computer. RAM is actually volatile memory as all the data it holds gets removed when the system shuts down. The speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the operating system. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
What to see if the Dell RAM is not working properly?
- The system does not display the right amount of RAM as it should
- The OS produces random reboots on your laptop throughout the day
- Nothing happens as you power on your laptop
- The main screen does not light up when starting up
