Dell OptiPlex 7020 Ram
The RAM in your computer stores random bits of data for the CPU to use for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. Some RAM is mandatory for your desktop to run. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets erased every time your turn the computer off. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the OS. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that bigger is always better!
What are the clues to watch out for to know my RAM board is not working properly?
- The OS produces weird errors showing up on your desktop intermittently
- The system does not report the right amount of RAM as it should
- The screen will not display correctly when starting up
- Nothing happens when attempting to boot up your desktop
