Dell OptiPlex GX280 Video Card

There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Integrated video cards will never be better than a dedicated video card, generally speaking. Dedicated video cards are typically a required piece of hardware for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. A graphics card processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results. Most new desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a video card to be installed on the motherboard.
