Dell OptiPlex SX270N Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home network. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your desktop. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Key signs of a bad onboard WiFi
- The desktop wireless driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects itself over and over again
- Your WiFi in your Dell desktop will not connect to your router anymore
