Dell P20G Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your home router. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the operating system that is installed on your Dell laptop. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. It is much simpler to buy a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
Red flags to watch for in a bad wireless internet adapter
- The wireless adapter on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The laptop wireless driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- The WiFi drops for no reason over and over again
