Dell PP05XB Ram
RAM is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets erased every time your turn the computer off. Your laptop RAM stores small bits of information for the CPU to use for programs. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. The speed of the RAM is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is determined by the operating system. Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your laptop to run correctly. If there is ever a doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
What red flags are there that my RAM memory is almost dead?
- The OS does not show the correct memory size
- You tend to have random reboots on your laptop intermittently
- The main screen does not turn on when booting up
- Silence when attempting to boot up your system
