Dell PowerEdge 1655MC Wifi
The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to talk to your router and modem. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. It is much simpler to buy a new USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the operating system that is installed on your Dell server.
Red flags the WiFi adapter is not going to last much longer
- Your wireless internet connection goes out randomly throughout the day
- The server wireless driver gives errors when installing
- The WiFi adapter in your Dell server is unable to find a signal from your router
