Dell PowerEdge 2550 Ram
The RAM in your computer stores pieces of information that the central processing unit uses for applications. Having the RAM installed is mandatory even for your server to run at all. RAM is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Dell. The clock speed of the RAM is governed by the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the system software. If you are ever in doubt, remember that bigger is always better!
Do you know if your stick of RAM is failing?
- Emptiness fills the air when attempting to power on your system
- The OS does not show the right RAM amount
- The OS produces access errors on your server as you use it
- The screen does not display anything when booting up
