Dell PowerEdge 4200 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. Dedicated video cards are necessary for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. A video card processes the input and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, in general.
