Dell PowerEdge 4400 Video Card
There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard. At the moment, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for high-end games on the desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. A video card computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking.
Signs of a poorly working graphics card
- The graphics on your screen displays fragmented images
- The Dell PowerEdge 4400 freezes when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- Nothing seems to come on when starting up
- A driver for the video card does not seem to install correctly
