Dell PowerEdge 600SC Video Card
There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. Dedicated video cards are required for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general. All video cards processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results.
Indications the video card is on its last leg
- Your display shows nothing
- The Dell PowerEdge 600SC freezes when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- Nothing seems to turn on when starting the computer
- A driver for the video card has problems installing properly
