Dell PowerEdge 6400 Wifi
You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your server. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically.
Do you know if your onboard WiFi is crapping out?
- Your wireless internet connection drops for no reason every day
- Your WiFi in your Dell server cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver cannot be installed
