Dell PowerEdge C1100 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your router. It is much simpler to buy a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your server. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest.
What are the indications that my wireless card is in need of replacing?
- Your wireless internet connection goes out randomly during the day
- Your WiFi on your server cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The wireless adapter driver shows it as not installed
