Dell PowerEdge C6105 Wifi
The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your wireless router or modem. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your server may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Dell server.
Major indications of a dying wireless internet adapter
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- Your wireless internet connection drops for no reason during the day
- The wireless adapter in your Dell server will not connect to your router anymore
