Dell PowerEdge E05S001 Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your server to even boot. The clock speed of the RAM is imposed within the specifications from the motherboard, while the size is determined by the software. Your server RAM stores random bits of data that the processor uses for applications. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. RAM is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets removed when the system shuts down. If you are ever in doubt, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
What signals that my RAM board is not working right?
- Nothing happens as you initiate your server
- The OS does not report the right amount of RAM as it should
- You get a lot of random errors on your server intermittently
- The screen will not light up when you turn your system on
