Dell PowerEdge EMU01 Ram
RAM is crucial even for your server to even boot. The RAM speed is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the system software. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as the data it holds is erased every time you turn your server off. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of data that the central processing unit uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of your server. If you are ever in doubt, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
What are some hints that my stick of RAM needs to be replaced?
- You get a lot of access errors on your server throughout the day
- Emptiness fills the air as you try to boot up your server
- The screen does not display correctly when starting up
- The software does not report the right amount of RAM
