Dell PowerEdge R220 Ram
RAM is necessary even for your server to run correctly. The RAM speed is governed by the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is guided by the software. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of information that the processor uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of your server. RAM is actually temporary storage as all the information held gets deleted when the system shuts down. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Major indications that your RAM board is not going to last much longer
- Nothing happens when you power on your server
- The system does not display the correct RAM amount
- The main screen does not display anything when starting up
- The OS produces invalid access errors on your server as you use it
