Dell Precision 370 Ram
RAM is considered volatile memory as the data it holds is deleted every time your turn the computer off. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of data for the CPU to use for programs. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. Some RAM is mandatory even for your desktop to run correctly. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is governed by the software. If you are ever in doubt, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
How can I tell if my RAM board is in need of a replacement?
- Nothing happens as you try to power on your desktop
- You may get quite a few invalid access errors on your desktop intermittently
- The OS does not display the correct memory amount
- The main screen will not light up when starting up
