Dell Precision M40 Wifi
Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Dell laptop. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware in order to talk to your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. It is much simpler to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
Some warnings your internal WiFi should be replaced
- Your WiFi signal disconnects and reconnects every day
- Your WiFi on your laptop is unable to connect to the internet
- The laptop wireless driver cannot be installed
