Dell Studio 1458 Wifi
You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router and modem. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your laptop.
Do you know if your WiFi adapter will soon go out?
- Your wireless internet connection drops for no reason over and over again
- The wireless adapter in your Dell laptop is unable to find a signal from your router
- The laptop wireless driver shows it as not installed
