Dell Studio XPS 13 Ram
RAM is necessary for your laptop to run at all. RAM is actually temporary storage as all the data it holds gets blanked out when the system shuts down. Your laptop RAM stores small bits of information that the processor uses for executing commands. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like programs or emails. Instead, it will affect the speed of your laptop. The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the operating system. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
What happens when my RAM memory has gone bad?
- Silence when you start your system
- The main screen will not display correctly when you start your laptop
- You get a lot of access errors on your laptop intermittently
- The software does not show the correct amount of RAM as it should
