Dell Studio XPS 9000 Video Card
A dedicated graphics card is usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be added to the system. Both an integrated and dedicated video card processes the input and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Integrated video cards are almost never as good as dedicated graphic cards, generally speaking.
