Dell Vostro 1720 Ram
RAM stores random bits of data that the processor uses for executing commands. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. Instead, it does have a correlation to the overall speed and quickness of your Dell. The speed of the RAM is governed by the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the system software. RAM is actually volatile memory as all the information held gets blanked out every time your turn the computer off. Some RAM is mandatory even for your laptop to run at all. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
What warnings are present when my RAM stick is about to stop working?
- Silence when trying to power on your laptop
- The laptop screen will not display anything when starting up
- The system does not report the correct RAM size
- You get a lot of weird errors showing up on your laptop intermittently
