Dell Vostro 270 Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of information for the CPU to use for applications. The RAM speed is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is determined by the system software. Some RAM is mandatory even for your desktop to run at all. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it has a positive impact on the speed of the computer. RAM is considered volatile memory as its storage is blanked out every time your turn the computer off. If there is ever a doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Some clues your RAM will not last the year
- The OS fails to come up with the correct amount of RAM
- The screen does not display anything when you start your desktop
- You get a lot of weird errors showing up on your desktop throughout the day
- Silence when trying to initiate your system
