Dell Vostro 270S Video Card
There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. A video card processes graphics and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. Integrated video cards are not as good as dedicated graphic cards, generally speaking. A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
